XPLOR: Hello Chris, let’s start from the very beginning, how did you get into riding? Teach: I’ve always loved speed and danger so getting a motorcycle was high on my priority list as a kid. Once I felt that rush of adrenaline, I knew I’d never be without a bike again. I came across a group of guys on the internet doing tricks and thought, “Hey, I can do that”… and the rest is history basically.

XPLOR: Tell us a little about your stunting career?
Teach: I’ve always balanced stunting with teaching and did a pretty good job of it for the past five years or so. I’ve won just about every contest I’ve entered in the last two years and decided to put my teaching on hold and pursue riding full-time in sunny California. I’m one of the pioneers of the current freestyle movement and have my hands in virtually every aspect of the competition side of things trying to push this sport more and more mainstream.

XPLOR: We heard that you are also a motorcycle riding instructor, what do you teach?
Teach: Currently I do private instruction in the art of motorcycle stunt riding but I’ve also recently reached an agreement with OnOneWheel.com wheelie school to instruct around the country. Check it out as it’s a great tool for young and old alike. I also am in the process of opening an online wheelie school in the spring of ‘08, so keep an eye on my profile for updates on that project.

XPLOR: What attracted you to BMW motorcycles?
Teach: BMW is known for making a quality product and after seeing Pfeiffer whip the F 800, I was impressed with the capabilities of the motorcycle. I test-drove one at Max BMW in NH and immediately wanted to set it up for stunting. The key for me though is the overall attitude of everyone at BMW. They are as excited as I am, they love riding as much as I do and have shown me great support in these early stages of our relationship.

XPLOR: What’s your plan for the 2008 stunt season? When will you be doing events for BMW fans?
Teach: My plans are to continue to dominate every stunt contest I enter, in particular the XDL National Championship. I’m hoping to take home the ‘08 points-paying championship in November! My first public appearance on the BMW was in Florida for Daytona Bike Week.

XPLOR: How often do you visit BMWXPLOR.com?
Teach: I manage to make it on a few times a week. As soon as I get some action shots on the F 800, I’ll be sure to post up some pics and video!

XPLOR: Chris thanks for talking with XPLOR and look forward to seeing you on the F 800 S in ‘08!
