Any one have any details on this?  I will definitely show up for this ride but need some more info.  I can find a lot of info on Americade but nothing specific on this D/S ride.  I would like to make a hit and run for the D/S ride, not attend the entire Americade event.

Get riding tips from a legend and XPLOR the Adirondacks!

Americade 2007, Lake George, NY

SAVE THE DATE: Wednesday, June 6th or Thursday, June7th, 2007

XPLOR Invites You Come out and get off the beaten path with BMW XPLOR during one of the Adirondack Rambles at the 25th Annual Americade.  XPLOR brings you a unique member’s - only version of the only Americade dual sport Minitour.  And for BMW owners, when you pre-register on XPLOR, it’s all free. XPLOR Riders – Early 7 am Registration RequiredJoin us at 7am on the day you selected on XPLOR, for registration and a hearty cowboy breakfast at the Painted Pony rodeo grounds in Lake Luzerne. This is followed by riding instruction tips from Paris Dakar third place finisher Jimmy Lewis in the rodeo ring from 8 – 10am. Then it’s off to a self-guided adventure on 70 miles of Adirondack secondary paved roads and graded dirt trails.  After you’ve worked up your appetite, join us for lunch at the very rustic Stony Creek Inn, complete with live music and XPLOR swag.  After lunch it’s the rider’s choice of return routes, reversing your route, or via challenging single track dirt trails.  These single track routes require a trail pass, (normally $75/yr) provided to you compliments of XPLOR and in cooperation with our friends at TrailPass™.

Complimentary Rodeo Pass
During lunch at Stony Creek Inn, XPLOR members will also receive a complimentary pass to the Championship Rodeo & BBQ (package is normally $30) sponsored by BMW on Thursday night.  Get your cowboy boots on and be ready to chow down at a Texas style BBQ before all of the bull riding, bucking bronco, and barrel racing action starts.  Seatings for the BBQ are 5:30 & 6:30 pm and the Rodeo will run from 7:30 to 9pm.  The highlight of the BMW-sponsored rodeo will see Jimmy Lewis on his choice of HP2 or Xchallenge, attempting to rope a wily calf.  You’ll have to be there and cheer them on.

Americade Day Pass from BMW
Because the Adirondack Ramble is an official Americade Minitour, an Americade Daytrip Pass is required.  XPLOR members who have not already pre-registered for Americade will be able to register for their Daytrip Passes during breakfast at the Painted Pony so don’t be late.  The cost of the Americade Daytrip Pass is normally $20 and grants you unlimited access to the two TourExpo tradeshows and to Roaring Brook Ranch for access to most manufacturers' demos and interesting seminars; that is if we don’t wear your dawgies out first!  If you don’t have this already-never fear-BMW will also provide this on a complimentary basis if you pre-register accordingly.

RSVP Now to Save Your Space!RSVP by May 25th to take advantage of this exclusive XPLOR opportunity with amazing Adirondack riding, great food, expert instruction and a lot of fun.

Spaces are limited each day to the first 50 who RSVP! Painted Pony Rodeohttp://www.paintedponyrodeo.com/ Stony Creek Inn

I like the idea of both days...can this be done? I signed up for the 6th and am thinking about getting a room for the night if I can play on the 7th as well?

Looking forward to finally meeting folks from this site and other GS riders!

What hotel is everyone considering? I do not see any mention of this?

I signed up for the ride on the7th when I prepaid for the entire week back in February and now that >>>XPLORE announced there ride I signed up for the 6th for free. What a deal!!!  I Live about 45 minutes west of the Lake George area and am hoping on finding any road/trail that I have not run across yet.

Last Friday I worked on a Trail ride on a 1200GSA to get from my house to Lake George and made it about 25 miles of a good mix of smooth dirt to Rocky Adirondack fun trails. If anyone wants to spend some time xploring off the beaten path while your in the area let me know.

tough sell for mid-week. I barely got all the gears to mesh, you know?  But I had to miss the Pines and a few other things, so I pulled some strings.  wink

Any fellow riders staying at a particular hotel or Campground?? The pines event was cool because we had everyone at the Ramada. I wouldn't mind some company the night before. I am attending the DS ride on the 6th. Where are you other guys staying?

Jesse,

So far two of us at least are planning to stay at the Lake Luzerne campground, which looks to be just half a mile or so from the event start.  Check out 'Riding Buddies' for a thread on it.

I'm not exactly planning to bring along a guitar so we can sing 'Kumbaya' around the campfire, but I should at least be able to whip up some instant noodles and a pot of coffee. wink
