Well, i have finally made it to this weekend. My first race weekend on 2 wheels. I have been mentally preparing for this weekend since my mishap in Daytona. I finally got the bike altogether, thank you BMW of Atlanta, Bill, Bobby and Hendo. My friend N8 has been very supportive of my racing effort. He has been metally walking me through the couse turn by turn, as i have a mental picture of the track lay out, giving me advice on what gear for what turn, braking and when to get on the gas hard. All i want to do is finish this weekend with a smile. Like N8 said to me on Tuesday, "if you finish the race you have already won. Finishing the race is the key."   I want to thank N8 for all the advice and instruction, BMW of Atlanta for getting my bike ready.

I will give a race report when i get back. If your in the area feel free to stop by and say Howdy.

Hi Chris - It was my sincere pleasure to meet you, your wife and your niece at Roebling this past weekend.  Sorry we didnt get more time to hang out....  Wishing you the best of luck with your future racing plans.  Stay focused and determined and you will succeed!  Your trip to Germany to pick up your niece is a great story of your family's personal character.  Wishing your sister and brother-in-law a safe deployment overseas.   Hope to see you all again soon.

Scooter!!!  It as great to see you man!  It was tough to watch everyone race, but It was great to see you out there and having Cheryl's support!  After Daytona, it was inspiring to see you back out there.  Lynn's family is great huh?!  lol  All three Eric's and their families also have so many awesome aspects, for sure they are teams you should hang around as you can learn alot from them on and off the track!

Lynn, It was also nice to meet you and your family. We look forward to seeing you again soon at the track. We will have to wait and see what the President of the race org has to say of the email i sent him. So i'm hoping it will be really really soon. Like VIR, but we will have to see.

N8, It was really good to have you at the track. It was also really good to see you moving pretty well.

Now for how the weekend went: We got to the track @ 6:30am and got the bike unloaded. We have a few runs through out the day with the instructor. Then we were doing the mock race right after lunch, that was fine by me cause it was 103 degrees at the track. We did our warm up lap and i was slowing down to do last minute adjustments right before gridding and then all of a sudden the other guy in the class blows by me at full tilt. So that ended the moch race. When we got back into the pits that after the warm up lap you stop at the start finish line. Anyway, round two of the mock race. We start out on the warm up lap and the same guy is going full tilt to the start finish line. Thats fine, i'm gonna run my race at my speed. Ok back to the warm up lap, every coner worker was displaying a red flag, ok, to me that means pit in, so i went into the pits. Everybody was like why did you pit in, i said, " the red flag was waiving." So we had a talk with the race director and was told, " that was our mistake with the red flag and i did the right thing." Now we got bumped again to the end of the day. By this time I am wooped with heat. I drank alot of fluids but was still whooped with heat. Ok last mock race after all other races. We do the warm up lap grid up and start. Not a bad start for the first time. Got 2 laps down of 7 and the red cross flag comes out, fine EMS vech. is on the course so bike under control for a full lap, never saw the EMS vech on the course, the flag goes away so i'm running 85% now due to getting tired. Well i came out of turn 7 with pretty good speed and then all of a sudden i started feeling like i was going to get sick, so i raised my half and started to pit in and at the same time the red cross flags came out. I pitted in and proceded to the marshall and told him what was going on. So needless to say i didn't get my race lic. I had a talk with the President of CCS and he told me why i didn't get the lic. So i went back to my pit and proceeded to read the flag portion of the book again and no where in the the rule book did it state you could pass the EMS vech but no other riders. So now i have to take the class again at no charge. I felt that his comments were just but you don't always have to agree with it. I WILL BE OUT ON THAT TRACK SOON. I have faith in the system and with ask even more questions next time.  Sorry to rant on.
