Nate returned to racing this weekend at VIR. Absolutely AMAZING support from the BMW community... great weather... and awesome results. ASRA National Thunderbike qualifying .... Nate sets a new thunderbike track record and earns the pole. He successfully puts the BMW on the podium with a second place finish! He also captures the CCS Thunderbike victory! A great machine + incredible perseverance and determination = success!

I'm not much of a motorcycle racing guy, but that was a great weekend! I may become a regular up there. If you've never been, I would recommend it as a fun way to spend a motorcycle-related weekend. N8 was riding fast, the other racing was great, and we had an awesome time! We left before this race - my son needed desperately to get home for some Tourist Trophy on PS2. LOL I think N8 made a lifelong fan of my son. He was impressed with the whole deal. Heck I was too. Glad to hear this race went well too!!! Randy

Lol, she was just there! We spoke briefly at the podium, in and out of myife like that...... lol! I had some extra motivation from a phone call I also received Thursday. It was just a return we all wanted, but did not know we were going to get. The yield brought forth by the bMW riders that come to our races here on the east coast is just amazing. Not just a destination, but a chacne to learn and see how well their choice maufacturer's machines work! I hope to be close to 90% at Road America. N8!

Simply amasing N8 !!!!! I know that from your injuries that there is no way that you are close to 100% yet. Shows what a determined fighter that you truly are!! And just wait 'till he is back to 100% again. The man knows "NO FEAR" first hand and put it back in the box. You truly are an inspiration to us wounded out here to get back on and try again and to not give up. I just read where past RA secretary and general good guy from the D.C. area and PA resident George Young had been involved in an accident and lost his left leg. Heres to a fast recover for George also. I happened to meet him in 05' at the RA in TN and spent the day with him and his wife touring the Jack Daniels facility. So heres to the wounded among us , may we have the courage to live and ride as N8 and George do!!! JC

Very very sorry to hear the news about George Young. I hope the best for him and his family. Last weekend was just wild. It's funny how Im still being questioned about my physical condition, but hey we did it! BMW riders from all over the east coast are part of our team. No spectators. It's just awesome the recognition BMW riders have shared with me when they are watching the races. Folks know they are affiliated with our team and running up front and showing the rest of the paddock we are a force, just adds validity to the bike and ourselves. Nothing is more confidence inspiring than seeing people happy! Happy for their bikes, their team, their friends.....! Peter thank you for the pics, look forward to seeing you, Kirk, and Chris at the track. Ok, on my way to the gym! Cheers, N8!
