My wife is very tiny, and would like to purchase an 07' R 1200 R, but needs to lower the bike about 1 to 1 1/2 inches more than the lower seat option provides. Has anyone used Wilburs on anything except a GS, or are there any other suggestions?

I ride a r1150r and have been on the r1200r. Seat height seems to be the same. My inseam is 29" and am tipy toed on my bike. I have not lowered my the suspension and with some weight in my cases have more ground grip. After putting more miles on longer rides, I stared to feel confident with the balance of the bike in parking lots etc. I am happy not to have lowered the suspension. Women much shorter then I are riding tall bikes. I have heard from other women lowering the bike and then later telling that they regreted it. It can be done, but at the end it is a very personal choice to make. Good luck with her bike --------------------------------- The world is a book, and those who do not travel, read only one page - 'Saint Augustin'
