If you're anywhere near the NY metropolitan area, why not go along and make it a parade to remember. The plan is to meet up at 3:00 PM in Jersey City at Liberty state park, near the science center, and then head out to Central Park and Pier 17.

Thanks JD . . . we'll get Goncalo from Newark to LSP! As from getting to LSP to the GW, we're open to suggestions (guess we could backtrack and slab it up 95 thru the nether parts of NJ . . . ) Once over the GW, down the Henry Hudson to . . . ???

Hi All -- Just posted this over at AdvRider . . . let me know your thoughts . . . Hi Gancalo! I've mapped out a route we may want to take from Newark to Liberty State Park and then north to the GW Bridge. Please let me know your thoughts . . .From Newark (Mompou tapas, near where you'll be staying) it's a short ride (8 miles) to LSP. I figured we could head down Ferry St to Route 9, hang a right on to Route 501 and then a left on to Bay View Ave and in to LSP and meet up with the rest of the AdvRiders. North to the GW Bridge, I assumed you wanted to steer clear of the superslab (XPLOR Commandment #1!) and ride up the Hudson via Hoboken / Weehawken / Edgewater to the GW. Route 505 has some pretty scenic views of Manhattan's west side and I figured we could make time for a few photo opps. It's a 15 mile ride but on a Sat afternoon, this could well take us an hour to do (though I bet the traffic on 95N would be just as bad and take as long.) Over the GW Bridge and into Manhattan. I figured we could take the West Side Hwy south and head to wherever you want. I thought the Ear suggestion as an ultimate mtg place was a great idea especially given it's on the lower west side and an unofficial AdvRider hang-out. You'd have a big NY City welcome there! Please let me know your thoughts and please anyone else chime in . . . Best!
