We are planning a trip thru labradore, has anyone traveled the road, it seems that it's partially paved and part gravel. The last reports that I've seen was in 2000. We're planning this section from Quebec (hwy389) to Goose Bay (hwy 500) then south into Newfoundland, NovaScotia, then back home to Tampa.

I just posted a long detailed reply with mileages between towns, how much gravel road, how much paved road, distances between gas stations, etc and all that appeared was my signature block. God I hate this useless web site!!! All show and no go.In a nutshell, you need 180 miles of gas range. Between Manic 5 and Red Bay there are 660 miles of gravel road. Baie Comeau to Manic 5: 215 kms of paved road.

Never rode route 500, although I feel you will need an extra few gallons of gasoline with you, unless you have a 41 Liter Touratec Tank or an airhead with a heinrich tank.
