Sent out a short notice ride invite to some hardy riding friends.  The weather front had blown through earlier the night before leaving a dusting of snow, 40 degree temps, and strong cold winds in its wake.  Those answering the call all showed up on their GS's, coincidently the breed of horse I was saddled up on.  With snow on the terrain higher up we stayed at the 9000-10000ft level (Brrrrr!) and explored quiet curvy roads with the heated grips on high.biggrin

Crunched the digital-camera-in-movie-mode video to a 4:27 recording:

MH... Indeed so.  You probably saw that North Fork of the South Platte off to the right near the beginning of the vid.  A gold medal trout stream.  You heading to the MOA National in Gillette?

"Gillette"

I had hoped to make it to Gillette, but I'm not so sure now. Life shouldn't be that complicated. Still, if I get the chance, I may just shoot up there for a day. You going to make it?

Several of us are riding up from CO.  Gonna do the ground zero, no sleep, camping thing!  Can't beat $40.  On the Friday going to ride the Bighorns.  On Saturday it will be Devil's Tower and the Black Hills.  May end up not returning to Gillette Saturday evening and camping in the Black Hills instead before returning Sunday.  Welcome to join.

Thanks for the invite. May take you up on that. Perhaps meet you Friday evening. Black Hills sounds great.

Cheers,
