Hello All,

My neighbor is the District Manager of the Tom Thumb Stores and they are having a Grand Opening at the new store in Milligan.  This is Highway 90, approximately 45 miles east of Pensacola.  He and several of the other company folks ride and have put together a small contingent to make a loop around the area of Northwest Florida/South Alabama.

If you are in the neighborhood and are so inclined, we are planning to gather at the store on Highway 90 between 1:00--1:30 PM CST.  It's a friendly little ride that won't go into the night.

I hope to meet some of you then. peace

Hello Hatter,

I broke my pelvis...took me out of the game for a long 3 months....17 weeks in a wheel-chair.  The ST is new to me.  I was waiting to buy another bike, the R1150R was a total loss, when I ran across this bike down the street from where I live.  The gent was selling it to buy something smaller, lighter, and less zippy.

I've really grown to like the bike, with its little quirks and wiggles.  My wife and I rode to the mountains on our honeymoon in April....she likes the XPLOR folks much better than the ST Forums...they are a bunch of complainers that people on Harleys and BMWs don't wave to them sad

I crashed on May 24, 2007 and started riding in the first weekend in August.  Doctor's orders were that I put no load on the left leg for THE SUMMER so I rode my wheel-chair up to the Harley, crawled aboard and planned my route so I didn't have to stop, officially....crept up to 4-way stops and kept rolling.

I'm 100% now and ride every day...during the school year I commute 100 miles round trip on one or the other of the bikes.

That is so friggin awesome, man.  Heal thyself and the Doctors be damned.

I fear that these days many MDs spend a lot of their time treating each of their patients' future attorney, rather than the patient that's laying directly in front of them.

The times I guess.

My wife was my girlfriend at the time, and as such, didn't have quite as much influence over my absurdities as she does now.  When she drove up to my house, saw the garage door open and the motorcycle gone, she was pissed.

I tried to get home before she arrived, but the road kept calling and there was that naughty horizon...
