Ciudad del Carmen a Campeche via free road(libre) Simpre Verde Chiapas via Villahermosa,Teapa and pichucalco chiapas. nice curves. and Calakmul Via escarcega. nice roads, great views

....disliked topas very much, mainly because even minimal speeds were erratic.  sometimes traffic stopped all the way.  But loved the ride.  People very nice and helpful in any way, rode down the gulf side, and back up the pacific side.  Chiapas was my  favorite.  Some very nice riding once you get outta villages and get moving.  Rode at night once, couldn't avoid it, lots of hazards like loose animals grazing along the road down there.  Military checkpoints as well as Federales were very common.  Again, very nice people.  I made effort to talk to everyone, and when stopped, to remove the helmet and be friendly.  Haven't had a problem on this particular trip.

I did learn very quickly that driving etiquette is different from what I was used  to.  Gotta have all 4 eyes open all the times.
