All start with a post in ADVrider as "CT Ramblers are putting on a D/S ride! I'm the trail boss for the Adventure Ride. The ride has been done by PC of Trail Rider on a KTM640, KS (former enduro champ) on BMW GS1200, Dave(mud on my face) a good novice rider on a DR400 and some guy named Bill on an orange Mo-turd."
And a link with all necessary information

It was sound alright. I was just back home from "Hancock mud party", still smiling and hey... aint my new bike was tailored for that? It was itchy...
Ya know...![]()
And couple of days later... I was on my way to Somers, CT, Friday evening after the work. Traffic was terrible as usual and it was pouring cats and dogs, again as usual...frigging G-Warming.NY turned into a rain forest!
I was swearing to weather God, and thanking to trailering-the-bike-to-the-event-God.

I pitched my tent under the rain, and slept in cold, humid silence...
Saturday morning everything was perfect... I took a ride around the town, and put some 160 miles to odometer...
Couple of puffy white clouds and the Sun! As if no crazy rain poured just some 12 hours ago...
Sunday was the organized ride day, and morning was better. No clouds at all! I woke up early to catch up with rider's meeting.
And this view greet me. Did anybody know this gentle fisher?
Then we start to ride...
Ride was just perfect. Almost 150 miles, twisty-curvy scenic tarmac country roads, hard packed dirt roads, and pretty technical wood roads and some short single track trails...
Unfortunately I couldn't take any pictures during the ride. But anyway, I have this picture after my swimming lesson in a mud-pool

Left to right Icon, our fearless navigator Speed3, and me, DD.
Note here... XChallenge can swim.![]()
Final picture from the very last moment... We are tired, but smiling... Bike strapped down to trailer, and I'm heading back to NYFC

It was the most satisfactory riding this season for me in my opinon. Ride was prepared and orginized beautifully. Thanks to "CT Ramblers", to Motogo1 - Gary, all volunteers, and and cooks who prepared the great BBQ lunch. See you guys next year!
