Sooooo.........

Pardon me for being nose-y...

But, what's up?  And, how's life?

This board is dying for some poetry..... some prose....  you've been missed!

Hey Mike, the summer was off to a good start,
a stray cat started hanging around, then he
adopted us. A charming fellow, he is helping
thin out the pocket gophers.
/
Then after learning that Royal Enfield was no longer
going to build its cast iron Bullet due to difficulty meeting
emission standards, both noise and tail pipe pollutants,
it seemed only right that I own one. Fifty some odd years
of production will cease with the closure of 2008.
The last of the modern day antiques.
/
then things took a turn for bad - a doctors report, a
biopsy- surgery- recovery.
/
the stuff you hear about that happens to other people,
/
today, I'm classified low cancer risk, have some follow up exams
coming up this month. Things look much better looking back
from the month of September than they did looking forward from
the month of June,
/
it has been a very interesting time, a time of quiet observation and learning,-
-but when I opened my eyes again, the summer of 08 was gone.
/
it is good to be back, feeling the autumn chill, watching the leaves tumbling
to the ground. Racing along with the wind in my face, the fragrance of the
season, laced with the occasional scent of tail pipe emissions.

This year has been rough on my family too Merril,

But life goes on and I'm on the mend and my wife is now a cancer survivor also!

It's real good to have you back. You have been missed!

It's always good to have our little family back together here, and we miss the ones who have been away for a while, like Hector, Pete, Peter + Liz, Andrew, S Farson, Buzz Bomb and others .......even Richie !!! Who have been around thru many different incarnetions of this forum

And joy in our new members Kip, Jack, Kevin, Robo, Thomas, Todd, Jean and many others who have signed on in this last incarnation of the Forum......... And the many more not named but cared for just the same, you all are part of the family!

Just glad that you are back, your experience in difficult times will be a source for good in others lives, just wish we could have been there for you durring this. But understand the needs to dwell within at times.

Doood, I missed you. Glad you're posting again and please, say whatever is on your mind. I've had a lot of fun on this site but I've gotten much needed support too. As you recall some of that support was from you. I really appreciate you encouraging me to write as a means of letting go or solidifying thoughts. It still isn't always easy but at least it's possible now.

Jack, JC, Kevin, kip - thanks for your kind thoughts,
/
sometimes life turns raw, and as JC stated--
we circle the wagons, we reside within.
/
but when given an extension, a reprieve if you will,
we step out into the light of day, stumbling to find
where we left off.-----
/
all too confusing for me, so I started over.
