Stole this post over at the http://kcsubaru.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=14003 site....

If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Delta Airlines one year ago, you will have $49.00 today. If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in AIG one year ago, you will have $33.00 today. If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Lehman Brothers one year ago, you will have $0.00 today. But, if you had purchased $1,000 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the aluminum cans for recycling refund, you will have received a $214.00 Based on the above, the best current investment plan is to drink heavily & recycle. It is called the 401-Keg.

A recent study found that the average American walks about 900 miles a year. Another study found that Americans drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year. That means that, on average, Americans get about 41 miles to the gallon! Makes you proud to be an American! Be sure to do your part. biggrin

Nutman,

Beeer.  Gooood.

I been thinking about Canada lately.  Did you know that one of the best investments one could have made 2 years ago was Canadian dollar bills (who knew)?

$100 U.S. two years ago would have bought about $115 worth of Canadian dollar bills.

Today, those Canadian dollar bills are worth about $127 U.S.

If you project the date of purchase backwards in time, the story just gets better.

The world needs more Canada.

They invented the zipper after all.  And velcro gloves.

The combination of which I'm sure were a huge hit in the Canadian sheep industry.

I'm just saying.

and yes, the fuel of which you speak is apparently of a very high octane.  not for the faint of heart.

for some strange reason, jean's head has been filled with "Shall We Dance?" and visions of Yul Brenner for days now.  Go figure.
