OK, Bob,

Hit the photo icon, after you hit reply, or when you post a new thread.

Hit the upload image icon, brouse for the file, then upload.

It will appear in the text box.

That was how I posted that photo of Montauk Point with some buddies.

Hey Pete.  There was a rumor floating around Leakey that you were droppin' in for a cold one and a chat???????

Okay Bob, here is my attempt...

Step 1. Start a new thread or reply to someone else's.
You already know how to do this.

Step 2: Insert a picture.
Click on the picture button above your text window.
It's the one that looks like a little tree...

You'll get a dialogue box that looks like this...

Click on the "Upload Image" tab, then click "Browse"...

You'll get another dialogue box...

Use this latest dialogue box to point to the pictures stored on your computer. Then click "Open".

You will return to the previous dialoge box. Click "upload".

Your picture should appear in your post. The only other suggetion I have is to avoid puting pictures and text on the same line. Give each picture it's own paragraph, like I've done above.

Looking forward to your pics!

Steven

Steve,

Thanks so much.  That is what I did but I get nowhere.  I am working from Safari and that may be my problem.  I am going to try switching to F'fox and see what happens.

OKI can only get one pix per page now.  I'm tired, so here's a view to dream about:

But I really need to show you the old couple who we met who had done Hyder, and a 4 corners on the same trip (Beemer of course), and how Thomas explained to Jean what those funny 1-6 numbers were on her dash, and Uncle Buddy, and Pat's response to Mike's threat to spank her on the road, and Rico's stunning Christie, and, and....... well I guess a picture a day.

****EDIT

Although all looks normal at preview, but all shrinked or enlarged to 580 pixel width. So we should resize the pictures to 580 pixel wide, before we post it. Am I correct?

Actually not... Because I can see you guys able to post small (smaller than 580, but still looks normal) pictures too. How can you do it? Or where am I doing the mistake?

Shiva,

I tried that two nights ago and got huge pictures.  I am using iPhoto and export the 5X7 as a 555X840 and that makes a good size.

Bob,

I've been having luck with a 2"x3" pic size at 120 dpi.

Skewing the small pictures and shrinking large ones problem still there. Original of the top picture is my 100 x 106 avatar (as seen on the left bar). It skewed to 508 x 106 !  It tries to brings everything to 508 pixel wide standard.

Shiva help...confused

You may play with my post.

BTW. See post http://www.bmwxplor.com/forums/topic/show/675#new you'll see what I mean. Big pictures are beautiful, but it is torture to enjoy the forum.

The solution would be a code like

"shrink the pictures bigger tan 580 pixel wide, but do not touch the pictures equal or smaller than that"

Hope you guys can figure out how to type that. I have no friggin idea... Sorry.

For the rest of us, we should resize our pictures to 508 pixel wide before to post them here if we want to present them without any distortion.

Of course until development team find a solution.
