In our Travel section, we just added a new section called Adventure Touring.  This new section is for all off-road, dirt, GS and GS-Adventure road trips and rides... :) S

Nice idea....I guess...but there doesn't seem to be much off-road enthusiasm here.   None of my (really serious) GS friends contribute; maybe that's significant.   Maybe you should continue searching for new ideas that appeal to a broader audience.

I am interested in offroad discussions.  There are a lot of GS riders who, even if they only ride the streets, can benefit from discussions on bike mods and so forth.  There is probably room for many other sections of the diverse riding group that we have as well.  This is the only forum that I have joined.  I was very happy to see the Xplor the Pines event.  I could not make it but hope to see more east coast events that I can make.  Thanks.  Kevin

I think the new section is a great idea as well.  I've been remiss about hitting the site lately as we wind down towards Summer.  Wouldn't let a lull in the activity be the deciding factor.  Thanks for the posting.

What a great idea for a new section.   This should go over really great with the off road riders.   laughing

Maybe the new section will attract more GS guys.  Since it's cyber space, it doesn't really cost anything to set up, not like devoting a room in your house!  Hopefully it will be a hit.

I would buy a dirt bike and get back into off road if any of my "over 40 and need a crow bar to pry their ass off the sofa TV watching lazy fat butt buddies" would live life for a change.  All my riding buddies live hours away!

as long as you post your comments in our COMMENTS ANYONE? section, the Tech Team will read it.  But sometimes it takes a while before they can implement changes. Thanks, S

Does anyone know about how to get information on the new Off-Road skills courses BMW is offering in South Carolina?

Great idea.  While many GS riders are like four wheeler's where there off road capable rides never see the dirt, the skills for off road can certainly help street riding as well.  It might even convince some riders to try off road as well.  Looking forward to the new section.

RH,

I just got back from the BMW  performance Center Xplor event. I'm definately returning in the spring for the full course. Very professional and a first class operation. The direct line to the school is 1-888-345-4269. If you want literature sent to you, call 1-800-334-4269. Hope this helps.
