Ambition. GS riders have it in their DNA. In Greenville, South Carolina, the BMW Performance Center has a facility where M5s and M6s scorch around the track. But those car guys don’t have all the fun. That’s because a few BMW bike maniacs managed to create their own BMW Motorcycle Performance Center here, too. Patterned on the BMW Enduro Center in Hechlingen, in Germany, the courses and exercises here cover everything from emergency braking to enduro laps, with slow and high-speed training and the chance to jump on a sweet tarmac road course when the car guys aren’t looking.

BMW Off-Road Academy West
At Rawhyde Adventures just North of L.A., you can learn some amazing new skills to utilize on your GS, regardless of the displacement, then put them to use on some of the most amazing scenery in North America. The training programs that RawHyde provides range from beginner to intermediate to advanced. There's even women’s only and couple's training.

BMW Enduro Center Hechlingen
It used to be a working quarry. Now its 54 acres of rocky woods is crisscrossed by countless trails, water crossings, and varying terrain areas where riders are taught the fine art of handling a GS off-road. Things like balance, riding position, throttle and clutch control, it’s all covered here and taught to you by ex-rally racers and certified BMW instruktors. It’s also in a stunning section of Bavaria where the riding is absolutely incredible.
