On my R1150RT I use Metzler Z6, my first set of tires I got 13,000 miles. Now I have 11,000 miles, I expect to go about another 2,000 miles or so. I recomend these tires to any one.

A new bike and you have to live with, I don't like that attitude either! But soon it won't be new and it will have some, lets say charater, or patina. I wouldn't that detract from your riding enjoyment.

08/28/07 - Spline lube?
I have a R1150RT '04 with 30,000 miles and have no complaints with the drive line, but I wonder is it needed to take out the drive shaft and lube the spline. Should this be done? If so how often? If so should I take on this job? I do most of the work on my bike, like valve adjustment and T B adjustments. Thaks David.
