06/29/08 - Re: EWS! & Sorry Customer Service From BMW

I got an e-mail from MAX BMW about a U.S. recall. I've never had a problem, though. Nor with the brakes. Lucky, I guess.

I used to think my R1150R was the best motorcycle I'd ever had. Until I rode the R1200R. Great bike. Cogratulations.

The reason I don't come here often is because I have to log in every time. It's the only site I visit that operates that way.

02/11/08 - Re: Corbin or stock seat

My GF likes my tuchis just fine. I've never had a Corbin on a Beemer, but I had one on a Harley a few years ago and it was great. Very well made, hard at first, it eventually conformed to the aforementioned derrière. I just wish they'd make on for an R1200R.

I like my Darien just fine, but it does take some time to break in. I hear the collar on the new ones is more comfortable. It vents pretty well, but it's still pretty toasty over about 80 degrees F, especially in the Central Texas humidity. The 3M reflective material is great, and there is a lot of useful storage. And it's still cheaper than the BMW kit. And for me I thought it looked better.
