Been an avid BMW enthusiast for over 25 years, I restore, build, race and ride the tires off a number of BMW bikes, currently own 14 BMW bikes from a 1960 R27, to a R90S, to a Krauser MKM, R80GS and the closest example of a factory race bike that one can own, a BMW HP-2. The upcomming Sandblast Rally will be a test of the rider and machine along with the rally spirit. Looking forward to racing the HP2 at other regional events, such as pikes peak and baja. The HP-2 is my mid life crisis! Its a much safer way to expell one’s energy than the typical avenues others experience!
