ABOUT ME

I started out riding motorcycles after I bought a neighbors Honda S-90 back in 1979. I never really understood that the bike wasn’t designed for off-road use, and did everything I could to keep up with my friends on their XL’s and IT’s. I later got a 1979 YZ-100 which just had an insane powerband. I later rode an XR-185 and then a KDX-400. The KDX was an ugly bike, but was great to ride in the woods after growing up on the smaller bikes. Had a few other bikes too.

I bought my first BMW in 2006 after seeing many GS’s while visiting relatives in Europe. The GS’s just looked so cool and practical on ancient cobblestone roads in Spain. Anyway, I became a BMW owner in March of 2006. I really love this bike! I’ve made a few modifications to my bike, including a Touratech Suspension kit and a second set of wheels and tires for remote camping trips. I also installed the Caribou case racks with Pelican cases for Panniers. It is amazing how much you can pack on this bike and how much fun it is to take on camping/adventure trips.
