Nice choice for a GPS. I have the 2730 which is the same unit without the bluetooth. I can actually say it has sent me down plenty of route that I would not have taken otherwise. I mean that in a good way. It has a custom avoidance section that you can use to tailer to the way you would like to be routed. With some expermintation it actually comes up with some great ride ideas.
My favorite is: Navigation>Custom Avoids> Major Roads= Don't Prefer, Minor Roads = Prefer, Toll roads...

I put the Kouba Link on my wifes 650CS. It got the job done for her. She can now reach the ground easier which really helps her confidence while learning. The link changes the geometry of the suspension so not only do you have less travel but also a stiffer ride. It works out well for her but makes the bike pretty much unrideable for me. I am 6' so now the bike is too low, to stiff and bottoms out with me on it.
