I have a r1200rt and the dealer is suggesting that I replace my tires after 11,000 miles. I don't ride hard but they say they are cuping. Any comments on this? They said I may get a couple thousand miles more but I'm off on a 3,000 mile trip so I'm a bit parinoid about leaving them on.

The hole eliminates the low pressure vacum and cuts drag and makes it quieter as I understand it. Sounds about right. The photo is up in Glacier National park, highway to the sun.

Thanks. Yes I've heard the brackets are poor. The calsci shield has an opening at the middle base to eliminate airflow back pressure.

Has anyone modified a 1200rt windshield to reduce backdraft similar to the calsci shield? If so how did it work and do you have tips, measurements etc... Thanks.
