ABOUT ME
i’m an ambidextrous, vegan, art (all forms) lovin, fool with a passionate appetite for helping others, taking care of myself, and facing the challenges life throws my way. i ride because i like to, it is a great way to get to know yourself. the vehicle i control is me, life is an all-terrain road…which is why i ride a GS. My HiBeem plate is a tribute to courteous speeding, & bavarian engineering. it is how i greet cages and fellow riders but most of the time it is just a road etiquette gesture for you to GTFOTW. periodically someone HiBeems me, usually for either of the same reasons why i do… and thats cool
HIBEEM has not created any rides yet.

Hey Jason,
Good to hear from you. Yup, the ankle is all healed up, except for a little click here and there it is fine. Trying to work it back into some more athletic shape now.
It might be too late to do now but I'll probably ride over to the dealer in Cambridge and see what they are talking about with this service and make a decision. I always like to check out a dealer when I am in a new area when I am bored. My lady is in class right now so.....

Thanks guys. Still not sure what to do but I'm leaning towards waiting on this one. I'm in Boston now and I was going to bring it to BMW of Cambridge but given what I've read it might be worth me saving my $$.
From what I've read on ADV rider, the 18K is the same as the 6K service. I can't remember if valves were adjusted then or at 12K.
I spoke to a guy from a shop that specializes in Remus and he mentioned the ECU remapping given my exhaust swap. I guess...
09/08/08 - 18,000 Mile Service on a GS. Is it necessary and/or worth t
Please let me know. I'm past the service already mileage wise but after calling the dealer it doesn't seem to be a big deal service. Mostly a check on things and an oil change, which I usually do myself.
any thoughts on this?
also, if my bike is running a little lean (or rich) due to a exhaust system swap from the stock to a remus full system, would anyone recommend a re-tuning or dyno-tuning? the bike rides pretty well but i do get some back firin...
04/23/08 - Re: handlebar riser question(s)?
okay....
i ended up getting the AWS risers 65mm and plan on installing them this week, hopefully.
has anyone installed these on their GS? if so, is there anything i need to know before doing so?
the instructions seem pretty straight forward and they seem to be plug and play but there is some mention about repositioning one of the cables ...

Just signed up!
Tarmac. Got some fresh Metzelers and don't feel like picking my bike up the whole weekend..., even though i only layed it down softly once in soft sand at pine barrens (i had Contis on then) and didn't drop the X-challenge i borrowed at all in the adirondacks.
I know it says go at your own pace but I imagine it will be a spirited ride, dirt or tarmac (w/Nate) but just curious what people think about riding two up?
