ABOUT ME

Hello All, I’m a 53 yr old male rider with over 40+ yrs experience. I rode to one of the last one room school houses in the state of MO way back when on a Montgomery Wards Moped! In my youth and teen yrs I competed in MX ,Trials, Enduros, and Hare-Hound events. Often a group of us would go down to the Ozarks in the Mark Twain National Forest near Chadwick, MO to ride endlessly the trails that are there! Now after raising four children and being the grandfather of ten, I am retired from Consolidated Freightways Trucking co., where I worked as a dock hand to support my family for 30 yrs. At the time I also competed in competetive style weightlifting [overhead lifts like the Olympics] and hold many local, National, and World records and Titles and was a successful coach of a USA world team member! I also competed in Bodybuilding and Scottish Highland Games! But now after 11 Orthopaedic surgeries am handicapp and suffer from Degenerative Joint Disease. I spent 3 yrs in bed with the debilitating ailment and have been up for two yrs now and try to stay healthy and in good shape enough to ride my 03’ GT which I enjoy for long range touring. I have been trained also as a deep tissue massage thearapist which because of my condition I have not been able to pursue ! I’ve been on the board since before its previous incarnation and enjoy the many friendships that I have aquired there and try to be aof service to the community by welcoming new members and answering questions that I can or looking up sites and parts for other members. I’m interested in seeing what this latest incarnation can add to our experience here amongst the vapors!—John C. Anderson
