ABOUT ME
I’m a retired firefighter from northern Virginia. I retired in 1997 and moved to Myrtle Beach, SC and have been enjoying it since.
I work on golf courses for the free golf and enjoy riding my current BMW, fishing and photography.

I did the big one! Rode both GS's and the Adventure came out the one that really fit me better. I felt like a circus bear on the GS. I don't know why but the GS Adv. just seemed to fill MY need/want. Picked it up on 30 Aug. and have loved riding it since. Only farkle that I REALLY wanted that I didn't get was ESA. Guess I'll just have to put up with a little "adjusting". I got a good price for my GT on trade and made the jump. ...

OK, I know I'm leaving myself wide open for all sorts of guff from you guys, BUT, I'm looking for some honest opinions. I've had an '02 LT, '05 RT, '07RT(don't ask) and now an '07 GT.

Multi Use!!! I use the Olympia Nova vest. Thing is, you can put a vest over anything you wear instead of being limited to one jacket. It's got lots of reflective patches, ventilation and pockets.

Had a Corbin on my '02 LT and another on my '06 RT before I traded it on a GT. I didn't like the LT seat as much as the RT. It'll take a minimum of 2-3K to break it in. Patience is a virtue. In the end, I really liked the seat.

When I was just looking for my '07 K12GT my dealer mentioned the free zumo in the deal for the '07 up to the end of October. I got the Zumo, had to wait for the BMW mount which mounts under the handlebars where that black piece of plastic is. The dealer installed it for me although there is not much to the installation, I could have done it myself, and I was on my way. Of course the installation was negotiated as part of the deal.
