ABOUT ME
UPDATE…- Left South Sound BMW summer of ‘07 and I am working for BestRest Products, LLC (the makers of the world famous CyclePump) now as Assistant Manager. *** Learn a bit about me and the dealership I work for! First… very important info! I now go by “Banks.” We recently hired a Stephen, he pronounces his name Steven. So that there is no confusion… I now just go by, Banks. Similar to Prince, I am the Salesman formerly known as Steven. How I got started in the motorcycle industry? It was really simple. I had worked for a fairly large software company in Redmond, WA. (you might have heard of it). I worked as a Marketing Manager. My work involved traveling nation wide delivering seminars to people interested in our software. I have delivered over 130 seminars and presentations to over 30,000 individuals. I ended up buying a Harley-Davidson and fell so in love with the bike I decided to trade in my software career for one in hardware. Harley hardware… Fast forward, I had filled a lot of positions for the dealership I had worked with. Service Writer, Pro-tem Service Manager, Shipping & Receiving, Chrome Consultant, and lastly… created, managed, and taught the Riders Edge program. While spending time creating this branch of service, I spent my free time selling bikes at our smaller shop in Issaquah. I decided it was time for a change. I have always loved BMWs, Harley-Davidsons’, and Moto Guzzi. I interviewed with a lot of dealerships south of I-90. There was only one that I felt embraced my feelings and attitude toward Customer relations. Enter… South Sound BMW. As you might have noticed from the blurb above, I spent little time in the selling of motorcycles. It wasn’t until I came to work for South Sound BMW that I became a full-time salesperson. Suffice it to say… “I hate the stereo-typical salesperson.” Because of that, I am not your typical salesperson. I treat prospective Customers the exact same way I want to be treated as a Customer. In that regard, all I ask is, “If I have treated you with respect, and given you knowledge about the BMW product line…” then please reciprocate by asking for me the next time you come in. My job is selling, I love my job, in order for me to do the job I was hired for, I need certain information; your name, and phone number or at least email address. If you came into our dealership, that means you have an interest in our motorcycles. Your job is to find out as much as you can about the motorcycle you want, so that you obtain the bike of your dreams. My job is to help you in that process to make sure you have the right bike, at the best price. Steven Banks

Just need a little avenue to kevetch... winter is here in the Pacific NorthWET. I ride year 'round, so that's never a problem. What makes that possible, two words... Goretex and Gerbing. It's just the damn short days that get to me. Hate the getting da ... Read more

I was lucky enough to get one of the "last" R1150GS Adventures. This photo is from one of the more recent camping trips. Just added the standard stuff for a 6'3" guy. Plus a few farkles.
