ABOUT ME

I’ve spent the past 12 years of my life living in Colorado, 5 of those years on a motorcycle. I was born and raised in Southern California and return often to visit family and friends. I have 4 sisters, 3 daughters and one beautiful wife.

I spend a great deal of my riding time in the Rockies, I work at IBM to feed my motorcycle habit and keep the girls happy.

09/03/08 - Re: Fuel gauge R 1200 RT

a few months back my fuel gauge stopped going below half full... took it in and asked them to look at it along with a few other issues and they told me they ended up having to replace the sensor after dinking around with it for half a day.

great, it was then working flawlessly until last week and then bam, i'm at about half full and notice it suddenly jump back up to reporting a full tank during my commute to work.. figured I'd wait till i refill to s...

08/01/08 - Re: Long Way Down at movie theaters for one night only.. Do

i really enjoyed seeing it on the bigscreen and i too was surprised at the turnout, I went to a theater here in Boulder CO and not only was it sold out but I guess they let in a few extra people because the stairs had people too.. I heard the theaters in Denver were pretty much the same deal - sold out shows..

02/03/08 - Re: My wife has no faith in my skills

yeah they make heely's for adults but trust me, having 3 daughters who all cruise around in them nonstop, it's a pretty steep learning curve.. they spent a good few days just going round and round the island in our kitchen getting the hang of it... I stick to rollerblades myself.

... and as one of my daughters discovered last fall, your wife may be right. she was going at a pretty good clip on a downhill stretch of sidewalk when her foot caught something and she broke her&nbs...

02/03/08 - Re: Dropped my baby

that's pretty much what I did with my R12RT about two weeks into ownership. Only what happened was I *did* put the kickstand down, just not quite all the way and the springload caused it to bounce back up.. so as I began to dismount in my garage I realized something horrible was afoot. trying to stop an R12RT from dropping with one foot on the bike and one foot off is a slow, futile experience.

for me though the only damage was to the cylinder head. a small dent where it ...

12/06/07 - Re: The Silver Thread and San Juan Skyway Scenic Byways

yeah, the 100k ride is a single day event.. beginning at Foothills BMW in Lakewood CO at around 7ish(I usually arrive around 7am on my way by 7:30) in the morning and ending at some dinner destination late afternoon with lunch somewhere in the middle. expect to do in the neighborhood of 450 miles that day.
