I received a letter this weekend from BMW asking me to purchase their service protection plan. I have about 17K on my 2002 RT and I am the third owner. I was wondering if anyone has the plan and if it is worhth looking into, I am pretty good with a wrench and am only concerned with major problems like tranny or motor. This is my first BMW and I don't really see the need for the service.

I'll try and insert a pic and see what happens. It's a 2002 R1150RT with 15k miles on it. I am looking for an communication set up fot it now ,It took a liitle getting used to I like to smoothness of the inline 4, but after looking around I found this one for a good price and went with it.

I just got it a few weeks ago and I really like it I have always wanted one, I tried the cruiser bikes and I was never happy with them. I am going to Reno for a few days in Aug and would like to get into some longer trips, I am just getting it set up for me and the way I ride. I think Shawn is a stand fast HD guy, I'll talk with you next week.
