02/10/08 - Re: Corbin or stock seat
I put a Corbin on my 2004 1150RT a few years ago. I could not be happier as it is very comfortable with a nice deep butt pocket. The stitching has held up great. It did travel cross country once for a refit of the underside. Wasn't closing properly, but they fixed it no charge, no shipping. Only problem was the communication skills of the Spansih speaking tech. Also own the passenger seat and backrest
Know one thing....Corbin is not cheap.
Maybe compare against Bill Mayer saddle...
02/10/08 - Re: K1200S Break-in
Hi,
I ride a 2004 1150 RT and just bought a 2007 K1200S. I love both because they are so different. The K is just FAST!!! Exhilirating! My dealer said of the break-in....ride it like you just paid $16,000 for it! In other words, slow for 500 miles or so, then just ride it! I travel with my RT which does use a little oil, but nothing annoying. I would like to travel with the K, maybe the BMWOA in Wyoming this year. We'll see.
Go for the K, you will not be disappointed.
01/30/08 - BMWOA International Rally, Gillette, Wyoming 7/17-20
I plan to leave Rhode Island around 7/13 on a 2004 1150RT. Plan to camp and/or motel and looking for a few riding partners. Return home by 7/26. Any interest?
