thanks for your reply. It is white....and it only does this after sitting an hour or so.like leaving a restaurant for example. One time after sitting in a hot parking lot in the afternoon sun 2 weeks ago for about 3 hrs it smoked alot. I just don't get it. thank you thank you Alvin

can anyone tell me why my 2007 r1200 gs is smoking when I start it? It seems to be a white smoke that last for 5 seconds or so and clears up. I frist noticed at 2,000 miles or so. And it has done this 10 times or so that I've noticed. I've tried differnt oils,mid-grade (the one BMW says to use) and high test gas and it still smokes.Now it has 14 k miles. I was told by my dealer to use the center stand not the side stand. Should oil slide by those rings while on the side stand. Tha...
