I have been reading a lot about the optional seats. The aftermarket units are all about the same cost if you get double heated and leather. I am interested in buing either the RT or GT. Have you ridden both and what do you think about the differences, including the seats?

The C340 was great with 2 s, a small child a medium dog and full fuel. I could get over most weather and have a good range with a generous alternate. It was intended as a personal aircraft not a freighter. Non-flyers, like new riders have relatively short ranges...2 plus hours between pit stops being a good rule of thumb...who's in a hurry anyway. The King Air solved all those problems.

After decades of private practice, become a prof, take 3 months vacation every year (the good months) and change the oil every 2500 miles because it's cheap insurance and easy to remember.

Anyone have any comments on the differences, merits, advantages and disadvantages between the R1200RT and the K1200 GT?

Does anyone have any technical advice or aesthetic opinions or suggestions regarding having the cylinders, heads and valve covers chromed. I thought BMW had this option a while back.
