Long Island BMW Dealer

I have had my eye on the R1200S for a little while now.

The lack of a dealer on an island of a few million people within the NYC metropolitan demographic area is still a mystery to me.

I have spoken to people who should know more about this, but they seem not to know much more about it than I.

Does BMW NA have any real plans to get a dealer up and running this year…?

Not sure I want to force myself to continue to go off-island for service.

Apr 02, 2007 - lack of long island dealer(s)

spoke to the guy that owned BMWNY on Wednesday, he blames the lack of a dealership on the demands of BMWNA & area BMW riders in general who were/are difficult. Also you can't survive as a dealer with just BMW. We have lost 3 dealerships in Westchester in the past 10-12 years; Lindners, Westchester and Que's, even Cliffs is selling scooters!
