ABOUT ME
I have been riding since 1969. I have owned 2 bikes, my first was a 1973 Honda 750. I bought my R80/7 new in 1982 from Lone Star Cycle Motive in Austin, Tx. It is a 1981 year model. I rode it for 10 years & 24,000mi. until ‘Buford’ and his pickup pulled out to cross the highway 125ft in front of me…damage was limited to wheel, handlebars, minor frame bend where forks mount…now it’s time to ride again. I have kept everything oiled and turned over and clean, so with a few parts I will be going again…see-ya,

Thanks to all. Those are all avenues that I had imagined. The new frame seems to be the least painful as the bike is too nice to part out. I had "Lone Star" in Austin look at it and their intial thoughts were the forks were probably OK, but wouldn't know without thorough inspection, etc...thanks, see-ya...Doug

HI, only 24000 mi., I've owned it since new. Yes it still looks new , except for the parts that hit the pickup truck ( front wheel, headlight bucket, part of the frame ) and the parts my body hit ( handlebars, mirrors )!! I'm a 'baby-boomer' that didn't boom but, rather, busted. I had neither time nor money to fix my bike for years. I now have time. If anyone can direct me toward structurally sound used parts I would appreciate that. A H-D rider friend keep...
