ABOUT ME

I’ve been riding and racing motorcycle all my life but the good part begins in 2005 when my wife told me I needed a hobby and that I should “Go buy that motorcycle you’ve always wanted”! Everyime I’d see a GS I would wrench my neck and check the mirrors till it was out of site. My wife is pretty perceptive and knew that the GS is “who I am”. I did spend a couple months making sure by looking at other bikes. Finally…Breakfast on Sunday morning at the BMW shop and lunch later that same day at a Harley shop while looking at a Buell Ulysses. Sitting on the grass, watching all the Harley crowd, I turned to my wife and said…”Never mind the bike…who do you want to hang out with?” I bought a new 05 R1200GS right after that epiphany! The bike came with a membership in San Diego BMW Owners Club and we have really enjoyed being part of the BMW community! Some of my kids best friends are children of other member/friends. My wife…(“redracer” on Xplor) has since earned her M1 endorsement and loving her new F800S. For my birthday in July of 07…she negotiated a friends Boxercup Replika into our garage (it belongs in our family room!) AND…. knowing my true love is dirt, put my name on an HP2 Enduro! I now keep busy riding dirt with my 12 year old son and occasionally with my 16 year old daughter. Then I get to ride street with my wife…she even lets me ride her 800S once in a while!
