This was a good week… Well, maybe not for my finances, but I’ve got a couple of cool new farkles.

First up, I’ve got some Optilux driving lights I picked up on the cheap (20 bucks). I plan to fab up an aluminum bracket, and probably hang it from the fender-attachment bolts on the F650GS.

Next up: An Autocom Active Plus Duo Kit. Max BMW is offering them at a really nice discount via the AdvRider boards. I emailed them Wednesday morning, and it was in my house Thursday afternoon. I spent some time last night testing out the system and getting the speakers/microphones inside my helmet and my wife’s.

Now for the best part: My kids are at their grandparents’ house for the weekend, and my wife is working Saturday, so I actually have the opportunity to do all this stuff uninterrupted. If I can remember to do so, I’ll take pictures.

Now to figure out the best location for the Autocom unit…
