ABOUT ME
I started riding on a Vespra scooter in 1956. My first motorcycle was a 1966 Honda 305 Big Bear Scrambler soon traded in on a Yamaha DT-1 in 1968. Graduated to a 1970 Ossa and then a Maico southeast distributor sponsored ride from 1972 until I got hurt in 1974. Long gap with very little riding between 1974 and 2004. Purchased almost never used 2002 R1150RT in May 2004. Have put almost 90,000 miles on it in 2-1/2 years. Did first Iron Butt Saddle Sore 1000 in August 2005 followed by a Bun Burner Gold in October 2005. Participated in Cape Fear 1000, Mason-Dixon 2020, Utah 1088 and The VOID II competive scavenger hunt rallies this spring, summer and fall. My late in life 11 year old son, Zack, has ridden over 24,000 mile with me since late May 2004.
