if you guys & gals think thats alot of miles you should talk to my friend Piet Boonstra. he has put well over one million miles on his bikes over the years, was names AMA rider of the year a few years ago, ridden from NY to Alaska 8 times as well as Mexico and at age 84 is getting ready to ride from his home in NY to Daytona for bike again this year. he was here yesterday and will leave his 1150 at home (well over 100,000 miles) and take his '03 Dakar to bike week. here is a link ...

i am now able to get my bike on the center stand quite easily and it is sitting in the garage on the center stand right now. i think once i am done riding for the day and the bike is put away i will use the center stand.

SUCCESS........with someone on the right side of the bike in case I leanded it over to far and following the advice on here i was able to get the bike on the center stand. what i was doing worng was, 1) not having both feet of the center stand on the ground. 2) i was not close enough to the bike. 3) i was not standing hard enough on the center stand 4) i was intent on pulling/muscleing the bike onto the stand. basically i was doing everything wrong and nothing right. now that i know what to do ...

your right, the few times i have tried i was not very close to the bike at all. is there any reason, other then my technique that would prevent me from getting my bike on the center stand?
