My GS gets about 44 to 50 mpg depending on road conditions and speed. Note that this is the indicated mpg on the computer.
08/27/08 - Airbox recall
I recieved a call fom BMW Customer Support late Monday reminding me
that my 2007 GS needed to have 2 recalls completed. The first was the
brake recall....I have read some material on the brake recall although
my dealer is not sure about what is required to fix. He will call his
BMW rep to get more info
The more puzzling one is an
"airbox" recall. The dealer has never of heard of it, and it
is not in his computer. The only thing he can come up with is the CPU
re-progr...

On another forum, someone posted pics of a wire with loops on the ends to pull the seat release levers and not use a key. It would take some searching, but not a bad idea to bypass the key.
