It all started in the 70’s. First, I was born in San Dimas, CA. Then, a bunch of other stuff happened (bad haircuts, various Big Wheels (even a Green Machine ), a silver Honda Kick-N-Go Senior , the 6 Million Dollar Man…I could go on). One thing I was regularly exposed to during this time was the TV show CHiPs. Not only was it wildly popular, but many sequences from a great number of episodes were filmed just around the corner from my house in Azusa, CA. Awesome stuff for a kid!

In late 1979, when I was almost 7, my family moved from the Los Angeles suburbs to rural Sandy Mush, North Carolina It was during our 3000 mile, cross-country move that I grew to love the open road.
