Well, let me try to explain this appeal of BMWs, to me, at least. I've owned BMWs and at least 3 other brands; when I decided to deal with ye olde mid-life crisis by going racing, it was on a Honda, and when I said, "mmmm, maybe this is a little more intense than I want," I bought a GSXR for track days. Still have the Suzuki, and it is a sweet bike when ridden the way it wants to be ridden. It isn't so sweet commuting, is useless for touring, and sucks ...

Actually, at least one dealer (Battley) had an R1200ST on the floor. I say "had" because I bought it last week.
