ABOUT ME
I have been riding for a few years but I am on my second year as a BMW rider. I bought an F650 GS last year because I fell in love with the idea of a dual sport bike while I was overseas. I was set on getting a Dakar but they discontinued production and so I settled for the plain F650 GS. Unfortunately it was a low frame and didn’t suit my needs very well. In a year I put just a little over 10,000 miles on it and got rid of on a ride back from Texas. On my way back up to northern Idaho I stopped in Salt Lake to get new tires and ended up getting a new bike that better suited my needs. The R1200 GS. I am a student but enjoy going on rides as much as possible. I am hoping to rub shoulders with people who want to go on some fun and leisurely rides in the Pacific Northwest on weekends from time to time. I am even up for some fun enduro rides if anyone knows of any. I would like to prepare for some long distance rides if during summer months if anyone is looking for company on any trips they are planning. I hope to one day take a ride up to Alaska. If you want to go on a ride, drop me a line. I don’t know too many people who go riding.

10/10/08 - Water Spots/Stains
I just bought an '08 R1200GS. The sprinklers hit it and the water dried leaving behind water spots on everything (windshield, paint, display, mirrors) and they won't wash off. It's bad enough if the light hits the mirrors right I only see the water spots and nothing else. As for the other places it's just really annoying because it is only a couple of months old and I can't get rid of the water spots! I have used soft clothes and expensive soaps but they won't come off. Has...
