THREE SISTERS
The Three Sisters come from the three roads 335, 336, and 337. All three remain at the top of the Best of Texas Roads as voted by the readers of Ride Texas Magazine. My favorite route is ride the roads clockwise, and because I live in Leakey starting in Leakey travel west on 337 to Camp Wood. You’ll find gas and food. LEAKEY BANDERA MEDINA LEAKEY
This is one of my favorite rides in the Texas Hill Country. The views are spectacular and the route can be added to or subtracted from very easily.
The trip on 1050 and 470 to Tarpley and the Steel Horse Cafe is just beautiful, then stop and enjoy a great breakfast, burger, patty melt or bbq. Whatever time of day, don’t forget to order the Tarpley mud - it is sinfully delicious. The problem is the pieces are big - the problem, I want the entire piece, but I usually share!
